The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a band 4 administrator to support the delivery of our maternity vaccination programme within our CQC Outstanding maternity service.  

You will join a diverse multi professional team that take pride in team work and delivering truly individualised compassionate care. You will be responsible for all administration related to the maternal vaccination programme of Flu, Pertussis and RSV vaccines to pregnant women and ensuring all aspects of care relating to the administration, ordering and recording of vaccinations is undertaken.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team delivering a flexible, safe, and effective vaccination service for pregnant women and service users at Royal Surrey Hospital.

The maternity services offers various vaccinations to pregnant women during the course of their pregnancy. The post holder is responsible for all administration relating to the offer and administration of maternity vaccinations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will have overall responsibility to provide efficient and effective administration of the maternal Flu, Pertussis and RSV vaccination programmes. They will maintain oversight of vaccination appointments, ordering of and ensuring adequate stock levels of vaccines available, complete GP reporting for administered vaccines and monthly returns for vaccinations given.

They will be responsible for ensuring all those eligible for the vaccination programme are offered the relevant vaccine and will coordinate all clinics to ensure coverage, capacity and timeliness of vaccination.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • A-levels or equivalent experience
  • NVQ 2 in Office Administration or equivalent experience
  • ECDL or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of organising own workload and leading where appropriate
  • Experience of working spreadsheets and data entry
Desirable criteria
  • Previous healthcare experience
