Job Title: Lecturer – Spoken Voice
Salary: Commencing at £28.56 per hour with progression to £32.12 per hour, per annum
About the Role
What You Will Do
- Teach and support students in vocal technique, vocal health, and text work across a range of levels.
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based sessions that draw on your professional and/or performance background.
- Support students in developing confidence, vocal range, and clarity in both spoken and sung voice (if applicable).
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support integrated training across disciplines.
- Contribute to assessment and feedback processes, ensuring students are supported in their growth.
- Keep up to date with current voice practices, pedagogy, and industry expectations.
About You
- A strong background in voice teaching, vocal coaching, or performance.
- Experience working with actors and/or singers in an educational or professional setting.
- Knowledge of key vocal methodologies and practices (e.g. Linklater, Estill, Fitzmaurice, etc.).
- Knowledge of teaching accents and dialects.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with students and colleagues.
- A degree or equivalent professional experience is essential, a teaching qualification is desirable or a willingness to work towards one.
