Test Manager (Migration) 

About the Role 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Manager to join us in working on our Platform Modernisation Programme to lead Data Migration testing for a fixed-term of 12 months.
Within this exciting role, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of testing, ensuring that any inconsistencies or errors are spotted and reported accurately, and working together with your team to implement improvements and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the programme resource plan.
  • Representing Business Change at appropriate planning, project and release forums and contributing ideas and information as required.
  • Managing resources allocated to the programme (directly or indirectly).
  • Defining test strategies, process and approach, together with relevant Testing documentation for in-scope platforms/projects, in line with Business Change best practice guidelines.
  • Managing test environment and data requirements, ensuring compliance with data security and usage policies.
    Maintaining relationships with third-party providers or partners as required, providing updates and reports where necessary.
  • Providing reports and data for in-scope platforms and projects.
  • Regularly reviewing and assessing the quality of our test documentation, conditions, scripts and coverage.
  • Consistently adhering to good testing practice and processes, ensuring records are logged accurately.
About You
Our ideal candidate will…
  • Have experience of working as a Test Manager with experience of managing Data Migration testing and testing large and complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Be able to effectively manage complex new system deliveries, integration, and migration programmes.
  • Possess experience of working with life insurance products, ideally across different projects and operational areas (desirable).
  • Have excellent working knowledge of Jira and Azdo.
  • Understand various development methodologies, approaches, and techniques used to test them.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry standards and trends, with the ability to assess these, adapt and apply as appropriate, ensuring LV= remains relevant and competitive.
  • Showcase a strong understanding of risk-based testing techniques and approaches.
  • Have obtained ISEB foundation level in Software Testing (desirable).
  • Be an excellent communicator, with the ability to present summarised, accurate and relevant information in a clear manner.
  • Be able to competently present high-level information to managers and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, with a focus on creating a positive department dynamic, and continuous improvement.
