About the role 

The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) brings together specialist health and social care services for people with a learning disability.

We have an exciting Social Worker vacancy in our Huntingdon Team, based at Scott House in Huntingdon. 

The successful candidates will contribute to the practice, alongside Health and Social Care Practitioners such as Adult Support Co-ordinators, Social Workers, Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapists and Art / Music Therapists.

The LDP work in a flexible way, allowing for home and office-based working. are currently working to a hybrid model in line with our service needs. This gives our Social Workers a quiet space and plenty of time for reflection whilst still balancing collaborative working across the multi-disciplinary team and peer support. It has also increased our Social Workers autonomy and has had a positive impact on wellbeing and work-life balance.

Cambridgeshire County Council’s approach to social work and social care is to make it increasingly proactive, preventative, and personalised.

About you 

We are looking for people who can demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and are committed to making a positive difference for the people we support. The successful candidates will have excellent organisational skills and be willing to use their initiative to work in innovative ways.

You must:

•    Be an experienced qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration

•    Can work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
