Job Details

Category Manager, Caravans
Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid – 3 days a week
in office)
Annual salary + bonus and benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Category
Manager to lead on and execute sourcing, contracting and supply management
activity across all Caravan-related spend areas, including decking and maintenance,
as well as leading on supplier-side warranty and the aftersales agenda. This is
a key category for our business and you will work with stakeholders across the
operation.

Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert
in a key area of the business by:
– Leading and developing the Caravans
category, including developing and executing new opportunities to deliver
continuous improvement across the supply base
– Developing the commercial relationship
with your suppliers
– Taking accountability for going to
market, sourcing, procuring, negotiating, contracting and ongoing category
management of all supplier spend in their categories
– Working with your stakeholders to
assist them in determining the business needs / specification and develop
appropriate sourcing strategies
– Ensure in-depth understanding of aftersales relating to each manufacturer
performance and act as point of escalation for parks.

What we’d like you to bring:
– Sourcing, contracting and category
management experience, ideally within an OEM or fit out background
– Knowledge of caravans and their manufacture, maintenance and operation
– Advanced stakeholder management skills
– A collaborative mindset, with the
ability to work across multiple different areas and many stakeholders
– Comprehensive experience across the
full procurement spectrum, with food and beverage experience
