Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Relief Cook to join our team at Caterlink Truro College for a term-time only position. As a Relief Cook in our college setting, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to our students and staff during the academic year across our 4 kitchens.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook a variety of healthy meals for students and staff, adhering to menu plans and food safety standards
- Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and allergies
- Manage food inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service, adapting to daily attendance fluctuations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including sanitizing work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Online training sessions to stay updated on food service best practices

- Previous experience as a cook
