Description: If you’re interested in joining our team as a Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing Operative, then we would love to hear from you!

Each day will be different, and you will be required to carry out a wide range of daily allocated tasks which will include:

To undertake manual tasks covering a wide range of cleansing operations in the “street”, open spaces, and community environment.
To drive and undertake daily maintenance to a range of vans and other vehicles up including LGV classification.
To operate and maintain daily, sweeping vehicles and plant in accordance with manufactures recommendations as stated within the “operations” manuals.
To operate and undertake daily maintenance of plant and powered equipment used to support cleansing operations and Grounds Maintenance operations
To work as a part of a team providing exceptional customer service.
Working outside in all weathers
Driving a Council vehicle
Liaising with service users and members of the public
Liaising with the Area Team Leader

The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence.

The role is for 37 hours a week – Monday – Friday

Contract:
Permanent

Salary:
£27,334 – £29,777 per annum (City Pay Band 3)

Location:
Cambridge, Cowley Road Depot
