Joining as our Indirect Sales Manager, within contract hire, you’ll be responsible for delivering the sales numbers through the VWFS Indirect Sales channel by working with our Broker Partners. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Manager in securing commit-to-purchase (CtP) and tactical sales activity with VWG Brand
You’ll develop new business sales volume through the Indirect Sales channel; securing new cases through an approved panel of affiliate broker partners using CtP and, commit to market (CtM) stock from VWG Group, as well as working closely with our Broker Partners to drive incremental case volume through Broker lead deals

This is what you could be doing:
- You will be responsible for the selection and management of a panel of Broker Partners to meet Retail Sales volume targets through the Indirect Sales channel
- Engage with Broker Operations Manager to ensure smooth Broker on-boarding, sales process delivery and operational excellence
- Support the development of the Retail Sales customer proposition, ensuring that VWFS work with only the highest quality UK broker partners
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure CtP (Commit to Purchase) deals are marketed successfully across all channels, e.g. Dealer 995 (i.e. Drive), Direct (SME) and through Broker Partners
- Deliver on the strategic plan for CtP and the Indirect Sales channel, supporting an aggressive growth strategy which delivers against both volume and profit targets
- Influence CtP deal negotiations and tenders, recommending appropriate solutions for the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Manager, Head of Indirect Sales – Contract Hire, and Retail Sales Director
- You’ll work with the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Manager to assess CtP deal feasibility and manage the associated risks and commercial opportunity
- Proactively manage available stock via the Stock Management system ensuring assets are sold in the required time frame
- Coordinate and manage quarterly campaign launches contributing to volume and profit targets with the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Manager
- Conduct regular reviews with Broker Partners to identify commercial and operational improvements, developing a deep understanding of each partners business model
- You’ll work efficiently and utilise remote meeting technology (i.e. MS Teams) to maximise engagement with key stakeholders and business partners where required
- Meet the required compliance standards in working with Broker Partners and intermediaries by working collaboratively with our Sales Compliance team
- Work in conjunction with the General Manager – Retail Contract Hire to help drive Retail Contract Hire growth ambitions through aligned campaigns
- Maintain the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring that all account and sales opportunities are maintained
- Support service delivery; ensuring professional communication between accounts and key stakeholders within Retail Sales
- You’ll keep up to date with any environmental, legal, economic and political developments and so on, directly impacting our customers and, market developments

- You’ll have strong and progressive Sales experience within the motor financial services or Fleet industry
- You’re experienced in negotiating directly with Brokers and/or intermediaries
- You have managed a customer portfolio and have a proven track record of success in Business Development
- Experience of using key account management approaches; creating and developing account plans; managing stakeholders and demonstrating value delivered
- You can demonstrate your track record of owning and resolving operational issues successfully
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle pricing and the dynamics of pricing models
- You have a thorough understanding of the macroeconomic environment and the issues affecting Fleet decision makers in the UK
- A documented track record in successful selling and negotiation, ideally through indirect/broker channels where high levels of competition are normal
- You have deep understanding of the UK leasing market, specifically Contract Hire
- You’re highly commercial with excellent business planning skills
- Fluent and articulate in your communication, you’re able to build rapport with people at all levels
- Excellent relationship building skills and, you maintain credibility with stakeholders at all levels
- Confident, articulate, highly numerate with the ability to analyse data and model different options and recommendations
- It would be useful if you also had experience of using Salesforce and a high level of IT competency
- As this is a field based role, you must be able to drive and have a full, clean driving license
