Overview
Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the delivery of landscape design for a wide range of projects, including new public open spaces, liveable neighbourhood green infrastructure enhancement schemes, new play areas, sustainable urban drainage schemes, access improvements and public open space landscape design. You will ensure the efficient and sustainable management of open spaces, either through direct or partnership delivery.
What you will be doingÂ
- It will be your responsibility to provide landscape design services for the Place Improvements Team, other Council departments and external clients. This will include the preparation of documentation for landscape and construction contracts, briefs for consultancy services, project management, tendering and contract administration.
- To achieve defined outcomes, you will plan and organise projects in accordance with agreed standards and timescales, developing practical approaches to resolve issues, plan implementation and manage delivery.Â
- You will determine the data/information required to assess and resolve problems, undertake analysis and derive conclusions to provide solution options and make recommendations.Â
- Using your knowledge and experience, you will provide specialist advice to customers on interpreting and applying policies and technical principles. In turn, ensuring that that effective customer relationships are maintained, advice is clear and accurate, and the Council is made aware of any implications and successful solutions.Â
