Portico are on the lookout for an experienced Meetings & Events Manager to oversee the M&E team at one of our largest and longest standing contracts with a big four auditor!

The main role of the M&E Manager will be to oversee the Meetings and Events team, working seamlessly with the hospitality team, client stakeholders and customers, to deliver five-star services across the meetings and events space. We are looking for a candidate who is commercially minded, who can inspire and motivate their team through reward and recognition, training, and development, ensuring that the highest standard of client care is consistently delivered by the team.

The M&E Manager will drive the service forward, adhering to budgeted costs, and complying with standard operating procedures. The successful candidate will be a proactive person with the ability to think outside the box. They must have a mindset geared towards people, putting the needs and welfare of their team first.  A commercially astute approach is needed to utilise resources, as well as great team ethics to work with the hospitality teams.

Hours: 45 hours per week, as per business needs.
Location: London based with travel to regional offices required.
Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 per annum based on experience

Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience of managing multiple and varying events in a busy environment across different locations. So, the successful M&E Manager must be able to manage their time effectively, making sure time is put aside to help their teams when needed. Preferably, the successful M&E Manager will be assured in creating new processes and not afraid to put innovative ideas forward.

The successful candidate must have experience of managing a large team with knowledge of all necessary HR processes. They will have ideally worked in an Events Manager position within a high end hospitality or corporate environment.

The successful M&E Manager will have an excellent ability to build strong relationships, and a passion for food and creating memorable events. We need someone that can drive the team, inspire and coach them to achieve great standards and levels of customer satisfaction.
