Night Porter
As the night porter, you will represent the Hotel during the night. The night porter will also assist the Head Receptionist in all aspects of the department including but not limited to operations, planning, staffing and payroll in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. The Night Porter provides leadership and support to all members of the Front Office and enforces the Hotels Standards of Excellence in all areas supervised.

Yarnfield Park is a Conference and Event venue which is conveniently located and easily accessible from Stone in Staffordshire, just minutes from the M6.
Set in the quiet village of Yarnfield, the 336-bedroom Hotel has 53 conference, event, and training rooms with the 2 largest spaces holding 400+ guests. The hotel has a very strong and diverse base of clients and with the launch of ‘CONNEX’ our new conference and training space we now can have over 2000 guests on site per day.
We combine our spaces with a bigger family. Yarnfield Park is part of The Venues Collection – a division of Levy UK + Ireland.
More about the role
The duties and responsibilities of our Night Porter will vary each day, here are some that your role requires:
  • Direct and oversee all hotel operations during the night shift to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
  • Conduct Briefing for all staff during Night Shift.
  • Inform all Overnight staff of nightly activities, group, and VIP arrivals as well as special requests and repeat guests. 
  • Check accommodations, making sure any special requests are carried out accordingly, greet guests upon arrival and ensure escort to accommodations if appropriate.
  • Act as manager on duty for the hotel in the absence of the Nights Manager dealing with complaints, problem solving, disturbances, special requests and any other issues that may arise.
  • Occasionally Assist guests with their luggage, be a point of contact for our guests and other responsibilities to ensure all requirements are met during our guests stay.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of the daily night audit in a timely fashion.
