We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to lead our team at Barnet Hospital. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of domestic, patient catering, porter, and retail services. This role holds full accountability for legislative and contractual compliance, as well as ensuring the financial performance of the site.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Understand and fulfill all contract terms and obligations within agreed timeframes.
  • Establish systems for capturing, managing, and reporting performance metrics.
  • Attend meetings with clients and department heads to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify, develop, and implement service improvements in liaison with clients.
  • Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate at all times.
  • Ensure adherence to company and Trust procedures.
  • Oversee quality monitoring, satisfaction audits, and action plan implementation.
  • Analyse and manage unit costs effectively.
  • Complete labor schedules within budgetary constraints.
  • Manage sickness, absence, and attendance.
  • Implement relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Provide necessary training and supervision to enable safe and effective work practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date training records for all employees.
  • Conduct daily briefings and communicate site and company targets.
  • Support, train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Ensure team motivation and performance management.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with direct reports and department representatives.
  • Conduct annual appraisals/job chats.
