The Role
A vacancy has arisen for the post of Pre-press Assistant to work within the Production/Technical Department at our Chesterfield site.
This role will provide support the Production/Technical department by the safe storage and distribution/preparation of all cutting tools and printing plates to maximise production efficiencies. Maintain accurate records to show all movements of items under area of responsibility.
Key responsibilities :
- General manual handling.
- Basic computer tasks.
- Understand and work to high Health & Safety standards, including reporting any H&S issues.
- Complying with Quality and Hygiene specifications and requirements.
- Experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred.
Key Skills :
- Excellent time management with a flexible approach to work
- Good computer skills i.e. Word/Excel/Powerpoint
- Accuracy and attention to detail with good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to work within specified guidelines and targets and under own initiative
- Naturally self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimum supervision
- A strong work ethic and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Understanding of basic numerical data – required to operate to required production standards.
- Good team player ethos – able to work as part of a crew and on their own.
- Self-motivation and good organisation skills.
- Good attention to detail.
