Are you a skillful, versatile and committed Senior Structural Engineer, looking to take on a new challenge in a Principal position?

Our teams are passionate about creating and delivering innovative projects ranging from new builds, extensive refurbishments within grade listed heritage and cultural buildings to name just a few. As a Principal Structural Engineer you will be responsible for the design and management of such projects.

About You

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will be passionate about designing sustainable buildings, working within a forward thinking multi-disciplinary practice and be enthused by working across varying sectors within the built environment.

Our ideal Principal Structural Engineer must have:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and design experience working to UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction.
  • Chartered member of ICE or IStructE
  • Excellent verbal and engaging communication skills with clients and members of the design team
  • Clear and concise report writing skills with the ability to present effective solutions. 
  • The ability and willingness to manage/supervise/mentor employees.

It would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience in day-to-day control of resourcing, programming, planning and costs.
  • A knowledge of forms of appointment and construction contracts 
  • Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software.
