Resilience Testing Analyst – Wrexham

Salary:

The Resilience Testing Analyst will play a critical role in strengthening the Bank’s preparedness and response capabilities across Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Information Security. This role is responsible for the design, coordination, and oversight of enterprise-wide exercises, ensuring a robust and strategically aligned schedule of testing and simulation activities throughout the year 

Key Responsibilities


Exercise Programme Management
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide scenario testing framework aligned with regulatory requirements and Bank’s risk appetite.
  • Define objectives, scope, frequency, and success criteria for resilience and continuity testing activities
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader resilience strategy.
Facilitation & Delivery
  • Design realistic and risk-informed continuity and resilience scenarios, including cyberattacks, system outages, supply chain disruptions, and physical threats.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units in designing and delivering localised or functional exercises.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured, documented, and fed into continuous improvement processes.
Governance & Oversight
  • Produce detailed reports on exercise outcomes, recovery timelines and remediation progress.
  • Maintain oversight of exercise compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build strong relationships across business units, technology teams, and senior leadership.
  • Act as a central point of contact for exercise-related queries, support, and escalation.
  • Promote a culture of preparedness and resilience through awareness and engagement initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proven experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, or Information Security.
  • Track record of designing, planning and facilitating exercises or simulations.
  • Strong understanding in third-party risk management, including due diligence, resilience assessments, and exit planning.
  •  Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
