We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Retail Manager to oversee part of our ESS prestigious contract at Costcutter.
ESS has been a market leader in the Defence and Government Services sectors for over 40 years. As well as providing quality catering, retail and leisure services, we offer a portfolio of superior and sustainable soft services, including hotel, cleaning, waste management, security, event support and reception services.
This is a position where you will be responsible for providing great service to our clients, managing events and enjoy getting the best out of the team, whilst drawing satisfaction from managing, training, and supporting your team to deliver profitable retail services within our contract and ensuring all budget targets are achieved.
Responsibilities will include:
- To promote a safety culture and ensure your team are aware
- To ensure the Retail team are engaged and managed effectively to achieve their performance targets and the ESS Way Management promises are delivered
- To ensure the Compass Service Framework policies, procedures and controlled documents are up to date and implemented correctly in your area including HSE & One Best Way service procedures
- To ensure stock levels, promotions, waste, and merchandising are managed
- To manage the retail labour, equipment & resources budget
- Complete HR procedures for the team
- To manage and maintain all planograms in line with company procedures
- To complete rotas & timesheets (Ourtime) ensuring labour is scheduled to maximise sales opportunities
- Complete Mid Term and End of Year Reviews with Retail Staff
- Attending weekly Huddle and weekly Team Chats with all Retail Staff
- To manage the team in line with company procedures
- To conduct customer journeys and quality audits
- To ensure all banking & daily safe reconciliations are completed in line with company procedures and be responsible for the care & security of all company & client property, cash, stock & equipment within the retail area
- To role model the ESS Way behaviours at all times
- To ensure all company, client & legal requirements, processes, and procedures are.
Our Ideal Retail Manager:
- Proven multi outlet Management experience within Retail sector
- Great Communication skills
- Good understanding and passion of Retail trends
- The ability to build and lead an effective team
- Standards and quality driven management style
- Results orientated and motivated to achieve measurable results
- Sound knowledge of Food Hygiene & Health and Safety
- Motivated by a passion for quality, targets and great service delivery and proven at driving unit P Bit.
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Computer literate
- Minimum 5 years high street Retail Experience (F&B) Strong proven line management experience.
