We are currently looking for an Sales Development Manager to join our friendly team based in Ballidon.

In the role of Sales Development Manager you will be responsible for:

Developing sales opportunities

Manage all aspects of the customer relationship and develop sector plans and relationships in line with the customer segmentation approach

Identify threats and opportunities, evaluate their potential impact and follow them through to closure where appropriate

Be accountable for the sales performance of the sector and deliver price growth and budgeted volumes

Seek out opportunities for growth or to recover lost contribution if necessary.

Maintain a full understanding of the products and their manufacture supplied into the relevant market

Possess a detailed knowledge of the customer applications

Lead investigations into issues and complaints, coordinating internal departments to ensure a continuous improvement in customer experience

Take ownership for and help to define departmental processes which serve their sectors for new solutions, offerings or continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate for the role of Sales Development Manager will have experience of:
- Education to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven track record in selling, negotiating and customer account management.
- Experience of working in a customer sector, eg Industrial, Construction, and Agricultural Sectors.
- Experience of working in a Nationally mobile sales team.
- Experience of working with cross-functional disciplines
- Excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Nationally mobile so must hold a Full, valid driving license
- Understanding the business financial accounts, budgets, performance and measurement
- Ability to analyse and interpret data from multiple sources
- Knowledge of Tarmac products and contacts
- Understanding of the back office processes associated with customer supply and finance
