The Role and the Team
As an experienced Senior People Business Partner, you’ll work in close partnership with your designated business area to be responsible for driving departmental people plans which meet the overall people strategy. Through the close collaboration with the senior leaders and managers you’ll provide comprehensive, best in class people support. You’ll serve as a trusted and credible advisor to both leaders and colleagues, developing and implementing strategies to support talent management, employee engagement, performance management, reward and recognition and ultimately contribute to building a thriving culture. You’ll also lead and execute on various projects and workstreams aligned with the wider people strategy.
Our people partnering team is evolving and we are looking for a strong senior people partner to lead and support the team as part of this journey.
What You’ll Do
- In collaboration with the People Director and the wider senior leadership team, develop and implement people strategies for your designated business area that are intrinsically linked to both departmental and overall business objectives
- Act as a strategic partner and advisor to leaders and management teams, offering guidance and support in various People domains, including talent management, employee development, performance management, reward & recognition, engagement/culture, employee relations and internal communications
- Collaborate with leaders to create and implement the right organisational design and resourcing plans and strategies to promote a high performing, engaged workforce
- Provide guidance and expertise in the areas of employee retention, succession planning, and onboarding. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to define the right hiring plans and bringing the right capabilities into the teams
- In collaboration with the Learning and Development Lead, drive a high-performance culture through the performance management process, ensuring clear goal setting, timely feedback, and effective performance discussions supported by appropriate HR tools and resources
- Foster a workplace culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the business
- Leverage and integrate People technology tools for analytics, employee engagement, and performance management, proactively making recommendations to the people operations team for continuous improvements
- Analyse People metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop appropriate strategies to address them
- Stay up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure business compliance and proactively advise on potential impacts on HR practices
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience as a Senior People Partner/HRBP from a growing technology company where you have the People generalist learnings to share
- Demonstrable comprehensive knowledge across all the people disciplines and best practice, with sufficient depth in reward and recognition, talent/performance management, driving a performance led culture and engagement
- Strong experience of working with senior leaders with proven communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build strong partnering relationships with stakeholders independently and to lead / mentor the people team as required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data-driven insights to drive decision-making
- Solid understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities independently, deliver results and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong business acumen and ability to understand and align people initiatives with strategic business objectives, bringing your people team colleagues with you
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
