Solutions Architect @Greencore

As the Solutions Architect (Data Specialist) at Greencore, you will own the IT element of data architecture, covering definition and delivery of a roadmap as part of both BAU, and an organisation wide transformation program, part of which is to establish a new data management group. Contributing and influencing the overall data management capabilities across Greencore.

This is an exciting opportunity to be the architectural SME on any technology change initiatives that have an impact on Greencore data and part of the governance thereof. You will ensure that the technologies underpinning Greencore’s data landscape are fit for purpose and delivering value across (but not limited to) master data management, data quality, data lineage, data transformation, integration, analytic and presentation layers. Driving up the maturity of how Greencore approaches and manages data throughout the lifecycle and ensuring solutions, programs and projects are considering data to the appropriate level in designs.
What you will be doing:
  • Design and implement data solutions focusing on databases (SQL, Azure), ETL (extract, transform, load), integration tooling, and real-time data processing to support business needs and objectives
  • Ensure data security practices are implemented, including encryption, access controls, and auditing, to comply with regulatory requirements and safeguard sensitive information
  • Enable analytic capabilities by leveraging knowledge of BI (business intelligence) tooling and platforms, creating dashboards, and developing reporting solutions to provide insights for decision-making
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data architectures, operating models, and processes, including master data management, data quality, data lineage, and data modelling and design
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, driving best practices and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement within the data ecosystem to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency
What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience as a solutions architect with a strong focus on data, including hands-on experience with databases, ETL, integration tooling, and real-time data processing
  • In-depth knowledge of data security practices, encryption techniques, access controls, and auditing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Demonstrated expertise in bi tooling and platforms, with the ability to develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions to meet business requirements
  • Familiarity with data architectures, operating models, and processes, including master data management, data quality, data lineage, and data modelling and design principles
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence decision-making in a dynamic environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and analytics
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Additional certifications in data management, security, or architecture are a plus
