Technical Analyst: Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium Science and Policy Team

Starting Salary: £45700 – £55240 per annum plus benefits

About the role

As a Technical Analyst within the Science and Policy team of the Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium (VIMC), based at Imperial College London, you will analyse vaccine impact estimates generated across the consortium and collaborate closely with disease-specific modelling groups.

What you would be doing

You will also contribute to responsive modelling work on key vaccine policy questions. This research includes (a) analysing and understanding VIMC’s vaccine impact estimates (b) assisting key stakeholders with the refinement, interpretation, and use of VIMC outputs (c) working with modelling groups on policy-driven workstreams (d) contributing to training and collaboration to broaden and diversify the network of vaccine impact modellers.

What we are looking for

  • A passion for applying data analysis techniques to address global health challenges in vaccine-preventable diseases.
  • MSc (or equivalent experience) in epidemiology, or a similar quantitative field (PhD desirable).
  • Strong experience in epidemiological data analysis.
  • Proficiency in R programming, with a demonstrated interest in vaccine-preventable diseases
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with international partners
