EVP Digital Strategy, AMEA – London, N1C 4AG, United Kingdom 

As Executive Vice President, Digital Strategy AMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing UMG’s digital and commercial strategy across the Africa, Middle East, and Asia (AMEA) region. Based in London and reporting directly to the CEO, AMEA, you will collaborate with a diverse range of global and regional stakeholders. Leveraging your extensive expertise in the digital music industry, you will drive sustainable growth, mentor leadership teams, and strengthen UMG’s digital and commercial dominance in the region.

Key Responsibilities 

Digital Business Strategy 

  • Partner with the AMEA CEO and global executives to design, implement, and oversee the region’s digital and commercial strategy. 

  • Communicate the AMEA strategy effectively with internal stakeholders across all levels and geographies. 

  • Continuously evaluate and refine UMG’s strategic direction based on industry trends, market analysis, and partnerships with digital service providers (DSPs). 

  • Act as a trusted advisor on digital market developments, providing clear, actionable insights to UMG leadership. 

  • Collaborate with global E-commerce and CRM teams to identify and maximise opportunities across the AMEA region. 

Business Development 

  • Identify and pursue innovative digital business opportunities to enhance UMG’s presence in AMEA. 

  • Lead strategic evaluations of new initiatives, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and the executive team. 

  • Monitor global digital music market trends, translating insights into strategies that drive growth and innovation in the region. 

  • Strategic Account Management 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with digital music platforms, ensuring a consistent and mutually beneficial approach across the region. 

  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to amplify visibility for both regional and international artists. 

  • Advocate for AMEA’s unique priorities with UMG’s global leadership, ensuring alignment and support for regional initiatives. 

Collaboration and Leadership 

  • Strengthen collaboration between digital functions, global priorities, and commercial teams to align strategies and enhance outcomes. 

  • Mentor and support regional leaders, fostering their professional growth and enabling them to excel in their roles. 

  • Serve as a decisive leader, addressing challenges with creative and effective solutions. 

About You 

  • We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader with the following qualifications and qualities: 

  • Extensive digital and commercial expertise with a deep understanding of the music and media landscape, particularly in emerging markets. 

  • Proven international experience in executive roles, ideally within AMEA territories. 

  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and collaboration with internal teams and external partners alike. 

  • Strong analytical acumen, with the ability to conduct and present high-quality strategic analysis to drive decision-making. 

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and developing teams to achieve their full potential. 

  • Flexibility and resilience, with a willingness to travel extensively as needed to support the role.
