Regional Development Manager – Home Based; Chelmsford
We’re on the lookout for a Regional Development Manager to join our Commercial Sales Team here at Covéa Insurance.

This role is remote, so can be performed from home, but some travel in the South-East region may be required, or if you’re keen to get into the office, you can too!
What will I be doing?
- Leading the growth of the commercial business for a panel of Strategic and Regional broker relationships in the South-East, achieving sales plan goals, targets, and action plans, and taking ownership of personal development
- Working closely with all functions & stakeholders across the business to ensure credibility & to support the delivery of the Regional Branch, Regional E-trade and Schemes business plans for broker customers
- Keeping an up-to-date understanding of our UK commercial competitors and brokers, as well as relevant external developments and changes to identify new opportunities
- Building and deploying effective customer account pipeline and prospecting approaches for each broker, providing an exceptional service to customers that builds our reputations as a great company to work for & do business with
- Support the delivery of successful product launches and major customer/hospitality events in respect of advocacy and maximising attendees
- Developing a joint business plan for the broker; delivering products, services and solutions that create mutual value, and deliver preferred insurer status
- Work closely with the SRM, E-trade and Regional Leadership Teams to deliver effective sales ownership and deployment across the Commercial customer base, maintaining high-levels of sales discipline and administration effectiveness
- Managing tenders and deals emanating from panel customers
You should apply if you have…
- A track record of excellent sales and relationship management development in the Commercial marketplace
- Strong knowledge of the intermediated Commercial customer base, brokers and markets, with a reputation for consistent delivery of excellent service
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to influence, initiative & drive teams across multiple locations towards positive change
- Sound project management and business planning capability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal & written, with good numerical ability
- A ‘can do’ attitude, proactively seeking solutions and opportunities to contribute to a culture of success
- Share information and insight; fostering collaboration to actively seek the views of others & ensure we reach the best decision for our business
- Pride in the achievements of the team and our business, seeking internal and external opportunities to showcase our success
