As the Head of Direct to Farm (D2F) at AB Agri, you will manage the strategic growth and commercial advancement of our D2F channel within the dairy sector. This senior leadership position requires you to develop and implement robust sales and growth strategies, lead a growing and diverse team, and deliver impactful commercial outcomes across both consultancy services and product sales.


You will be a vital member of the UK dairy leadership team, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to convert market data and insights into clear, actionable plans that deliver measurable business growth.


What you’ll be doing: 

 
  • Develop and implement a clear and actionable growth strategy using market data and insights to deliver sales and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse and expanding team of senior sales and commercial professionals, promoting an inclusive leadership style that motivates and unites the team.
  • Manage customer acquisition and commercial operations within the D2C channel, effectively balancing high-margin consultancy services with high-volume product sales to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with the UK dairy leadership team and global stakeholders to ensure D2C strategies align with overall business goals and market opportunities.
  • Partner with a development lead who provides consultancy advise and support, ensuring the team delivers both technical consultancy and product sales effectively.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine and enhance the D2C commercial approach.
  • Oversee the integration and growth of technology services to leverage agri-tech innovations for business expansion.


What we’re looking for:

 
  • Significant experience in a commercial or sales leadership role within the dairy sector, with exposure to both product sales and consultancy services.
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement comprehensive growth strategies that translate market data and insights into measurable outcomes.
  • People management skills with an engaging, inclusive leadership style, capable of motivating and leading a complex, diverse sales and commercial team.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, confident in building and maintaining senior-level relationships both internally and with key large dairy farm customers.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with a commercial mindset, able to balance high-margin consultancy offerings alongside high-volume product sales.
  • Comfortable operating within a complex organizational structure, collaborating effectively across UK dairy leadership and global teams.
  • Experience in scaling medium-sized enterprises or driving significant business growth is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to agricultural technology or related sectors
