Are you passionate about supporting individuals through recovery and committed to making a lasting difference? Join the dedicated Counselling Team at Clouds House, where you’ll be part of a respected and structured therapeutic community helping clients begin their recovery journey.
As an Addictions Counsellor, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver our intensive, structured treatment programme. This is a role that blends hands-on therapeutic delivery with continued professional development and reflective practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate interpersonal group therapy and 12-step study groups
- Deliver psychoeducational workshops and individual case management sessions
- Build strong, recovery-focused therapeutic alliances
- Share clinical insights with the wider team to ensure safe, coordinated client care
- Maintain professional standards in line with clinical and regulatory guidelines
Ideal Candidate
- We are looking for an individual with the skills knowledge and experience below
- Knowledge of addiction and its impact
- Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint,
- Ability to learn new systems including to input onto electronic record management systems
- Experience of working with at times distressed individuals, listen to their needs and communicate respectfully and clearly
- Experience of thinking creatively with the team to create meaningful outcomes for clients and family members
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
