This is the job

Join Us in Powering Smarter Decisions.

Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? We’re looking for a BI Developer to join our Data & Analytics team and help shape the future of business intelligence across our organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile environment where your work directly supports commercial and operational success.

What will I be doing?

  • Design and develop scalable Power BI solutions including semantic models and reports, using SQL and various data sources to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and identify opportunities to enhance reporting and insights.
  • Work within an Agile framework, contributing to sprint planning, estimating development tasks, and using tools like JIRA to manage progress.
  • Ensure clarity and maintainability by documenting solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences, supporting future updates and collaboration.
  • Promote adoption of Power BI by supporting users, enhancing UX design, and aligning with existing visual standards and templates.
  • Partner with data teams to ensure data is structured and accessible for self-serve reporting, while proactively identifying and escalating risks or issues.

What do I need?

  • Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and reports, with a strong grasp of the full development lifecycle.
  • Advanced SQL skills, ideally with experience in BigQuery or Databricks, and a solid understanding of data modelling and data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a track record of translating non-technical requirements into structured, insightful solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams, and contributing to shared success in complex enterprise environments.
  • Design-focused approach, with a keen eye for both data architecture and user experience in BI reporting.
  • Education or equivalent experience in Computing, Mathematics, or Statistics, paired with a commitment to continuous learning and inclusive practices.
