We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to drive the end-to-end delivery of our Financial Services & Payments transformation programme. This high-impact role will oversee a portfolio of complex initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders across M&S, M&S Bank, and external partners to deliver customer-centric and business-critical outcomes.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams to scope, solve, and deliver change across key workstreams including General Insurance and Travel Money migrations and programme delivery. With full ownership of programme governance, finance, and business readiness, you’ll ensure seamless transition into BAU while managing risk in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

What you’ll do

  • To work with the Financial Services Director, the Financial Services Leadership Team and other business owners (internal and external 3rd parties) to define scope, objectives and benefits/budget of the workstreams and develop the right plan to deliver.
  • To manage the end-to-end FS&P transformation programme, bringing cross-functional teams together to scope, solve problems, manage progress and ensure the committed outcomes are delivered
  • Reporting on progress and issues / risks. To monitor and manage programme risk across a fast paced, high risk environment with competing factors and new challenges
  • To own business readiness, leading associated change management activity to deliver and embed the transformation programme of work. To ensure change is managed with a clear transition plan to the BAU set up
  • To oversee initiatives and value streams, working with cross-functional teams to deliver the change, including problem solving and coordination of stakeholders, bringing content expertise where possible

Who you are

  • Advanced programme management experience
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Senior Stakeholder Management and adaptive communication styles
  • Financial Services experience Desirable but not essential
