Events Programme Manager – London
Purpose of role
London & Partners supports the growth journey of over 1000 businesses each year.
The Events Programme Manager delivers some of our most important community events supporting high-growth scale-ups, investors and corporates in our peer-to-peer network session and sector community events (including the FinTech Club, Pitch and Demo Days, Overlooked and Female Founders engagement experiences). The position holder will also project manage our annual summit and build strong relationships with high-profile speakers in the tech ecosystem.
Key Tasks
Annual Summit & Networks
- Curate and deliver the annual summit each November, owning any project management.
- Build meaningful relationships with Partners and key stakeholders both internally and externally
- In collaboration with the wider Marketing and PR directorates, plan and deliver brand, marketing and communications strategy ensuring effective execution to achieve consistent, high-quality messaging and increased brand recognition.
- Contribution to the improvement of processes to monitor and evaluate the different elements of the annual summit programme; and continued development of reporting tools to build and improve events delivery.
- Support the Partnerships team to secure sponsorship funds and ongoing engagement of commercial Partners.
Events and Communities
- Work with the Head of Communities, feeding into the annual Communities Programme strategy
- Deliver community events such as of peer-to-peer networks and sector events (including but not limited to FinTech Club, Pitch and Demo Days, Overlooked and Female Founders groups).
- Lead high quality event programming content, curation, and consistently securing high attendance and engagement. Where appropriate host or facilitate these events.
- Work closely with sector leads (including enterprise, fintech & cyber, life sciences, sustainability and creative industries) to secure high-quality speakers and develop content relevant to our communities and sector growth trends.
- Manage engagement with our alumni communities and ensure they are aware of relevant opportunities.
- Ensure feedback (NPS) is monitored to continuously improve event satisfaction.
- Perform data analysis and create data driven insights on programme content, Partners and community engagement to inform critical decision making and programme content planning.
You’ll have/bring
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage a range of stakeholders and demonstrable experience of relationship building and networks.
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholder representatives, investors, corporates, partners and customers.
- Experience in curating event programming content and delivering regular high-profile events.
- Experience in public speaking, including presenting and moderating.
- Ability to manage and deliver projects and event programmes within deadlines, achieving targets, monitoring performance of the matrix team and take corrective action where necessary.
- Able to develop innovative ideas and solutions to plans, challenges and objectives through creative and strategic thinking.
- Able to demonstrate resilience and adapting positively within the context of ambiguous and fast changing priorities and cultural agendas.
- Able to demonstrate self-awareness seeking out challenges and opportunities to improve both personal and organisational performance.
- A track record of collaboration, good relationships and alliances with both internal and external networks that delivers results.
