Are you a talented Email Designer & Developer looking for an opportunity to drive forward the execution of personalised email experiences with engaging designs?

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented designer to create engaging, high-quality emails for Asda’s digital CRM channels. As an Email Designer & Developer, you will be responsible for the design, build, and testing of HTML emails ready for deployment through our Email Service Platform (ESP).

The Role

You’ll be a key part of an expanding CRM Design team within our in-house studio team. Working closely with wider teams such as CRM and Data Science to drive forward personalisation, within eye-catching on brand, email campaigns.

  • Design industry leading, responsive emails that are true to the Asda brand.

  • Creation of new, and art working of existing assets. Working with a variety of guidelines across multiple propositions, pricing, and lockups.

  • Build emails using HTML & CSS coding languages. Set up dynamic areas to support data personalisation where needed.

  • Test finished emails within our ESP ready for go live. Use litmus to check rendering across different email clients and devices to ensure we get the best user experience.

  • Keep up to date with industry and best practice design trends.

Let’s find out about you

  • Excellent design skills, experience using Adobe Creative Cloud. Knowledge of Adobe XD, Sketch or Figma would be beneficial.

  • Have experience building responsive emails and/or web pages using HTML and CSS.

  • Previous experience with an ESP such as Salesforce desired, but full training will be provided.

  • Can work both independently and closely with a team
