Emerald Team – Empowering Youth, Building Futures

At Wiltshire Council, we value and recognise all our staff for the hard work they do every day. Kickstart your social work journey with our Emerald team, making a positive impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families.

This is a contextual safeguarding team working with young people who face risks outside of the home.

Our Families and Children’s service provides a high quality, efficient and effective social work service. This is an opportunity to join our supportive and friendly team as a Newly Qualified Social Worker, working within a great environment where you’ll be supported.

You will work with a dedicated ASYE Development Manager and receive supervision twice a month, as well as informal support and ongoing guidance for practice. You will receive ongoing training and development which is designed by our designated ASYE Co-ordinator, and you will finish with an end of year group celebration.

Why us?

In addition to our ASYE programme, we provide a range of learning and development opportunities – not just at the start of your career but across the professional capabilities’ framework. Grounded in relationship-based practice, opportunities are varied and ongoing such as a newly developed innovative fund for developing practice by shadowing in organisations.

Wiltshire Council is a friendly, welcoming place to work, with a ‘One Council’ ethos. That’s why we focus on getting the things that matter to our people right. Explore more benefits here!
