Salary: £13.15 per hour

Hours of work: 38 hours per week

Melrose Nursery is a leading early childhood education centre dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years old.

All about the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team on a 4-day per week basis working with our children under two years , Monday to Thursday. 8am to 6pm. We close for Christmas week and all Bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the nursery’s ethos and policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an innovative and engaging curriculum that meets the individual needs and interests of children.
  • Planning and deliver age-appropriate activities and experiences to promote learning and development across all areas:
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for children, adhering to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, fostering open communication and collaboration in their child’s learning journey.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience within an Early year setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas to the setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and upholding best practices in early childhood education.
