Are you an inspirational leader ready to guide a thriving, values-driven primary school at the heart of its community?
Brinkworth Earl Danby’s CE Primary School, nestled in the beautiful Dauntsey Vale of North Wiltshire, is a vibrant, inclusive school with a strong Christian foundation. We are a two-site school: our Upper School in Brinkworth houses KS2, while Reception and KS1 are located at our Lower School in Dauntsey, just two miles apart.
Our mission is to provide a secure, happy, and stimulating environment in which every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are proud to be an inclusive school which tailors our provision to meet the needs of every pupil. As a Church of England school, we seek to nurture the spiritual growth of all, of any faith or none, and create a true sense of family within our community.
Having been graded Good by Ofsted in 2018 (with an ungraded visit in 2024), we are focussed on rapidly improving the standards of learning and teaching in the school.
We are now seeking a resourceful, dynamic, and resilient Headteacher who:
- Is an excellent leader with well-developed management skills
- Shares our values and determination to strive for the highest standards
- Concurrently nurtures and drives high expectations across our school community
- Inspires a love of active, joyful learning in pupils
- Has strong pedagogical understanding and evidence of excellent practical application
- Is a strong coach and mentor who enables staff continuous professional growth and is resilient and persistent in holding to account for high standards of classroom practice
- Supports staff wellbeing and continuous professional growth
- Has the vision to develop and maintain an ambitious, broad curriculum for all
- Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, governors, parents, and the wider community
- Sustains and strengthens the school’s Christian distinctiveness
- Has completed NPQH or other relevant/equivalent leadership training, or is willing to do so
In return, we offer a welcoming and supportive school community, a dedicated staff team, engaged governors, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners, leading a school with a strong reputation and an exciting future.
