The role
This is a frontline role where your skills make the difference. You’ll be helping young people in Belfast build confidence, resilience, and direction through a mix of structured learning and consistent support.
You’ll:
- Deliver tailored inductions, diagnostics, and action plans that set clear learner pathways.
- Deliver personal and social development, employability learning, and accredited qualifications (RRQ Preparation for Work and Foundations for Learning and Life).
- Provide pastoral care and 1:1 support that keeps young people engaged and motivated.
- Maintain accurate records, safeguarding standards, and compliance at every stage.
- Adapt delivery to meet local needs and ensure outcomes that align with funding and partner goals.
The person
Let me ask you:
- Do you hold a PGCE, CIT, or Level 3/4 Youth Work qualification that covers planning, delivering, and evaluating learning with young people?
- Or, if you hold a Youth Work qualification, are you willing to start the CIT within 2 years?
- Do you have experience delivering youth programmes or qualifications in personal development or employability?
- Are you confident working with young people who face barriers and need consistent encouragement?
- Do you see challenge as motivation and outcomes as the real measure of success?
