About the opportunity: We are looking for a highly motivated Strategy Manager to join our Strategy department at one of the most exciting times in our Clubs history.
Reporting directly to the Head of Club Strategy, this role will be at the heart of shaping and driving the Club’s long-term direction, where you will lead on a number of key initiatives, provide strategic insight and analysis, and support senior stakeholders in delivering projects that align with the Club’s overall ambitions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, influence decision-making at the highest level, and help ensure the Club achieves its vision for growth and success.
Key Responsibilities include:
Strategic Projects
- Working closely with Department Leads on a range of ad-hoc priority projects
- Drafting internal proposals and business models for pricing, new opportunities, or changes in product/market strategy
- Proactively identifying opportunities to drive revenue, efficiencies, and growth
- Providing strategic perspective and guidance at project working groups to ensure alignment with the Club’s overall strategy.
Club Strategy
- Supporting the Director of Strategy in shaping the Club’s long-term direction through the development of the overall strategy
- Partnering with Department Leads to create departmental strategies that contribute to the achievement of the Club’s strategic objectives
Performance Reporting
- Leading on developing clear, compelling narratives for presentations to senior stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and relevance for internal and external use.
- Preparing and delivering regular reports for the CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Maintaining close communication with senior stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, appropriate, and aligned with the Club’s strategic goals.
Who We’re Looking For: You’ll have proven experience and an effective approach to problem solving that contributes to the overall performance of an organisation, as well as strong strategic/analytical expertise with an understanding of the unique dynamics of the sports industry (governance, fan engagement, commercial growth, etc.).

This position is a permanent opportunity, working 35 hours per week with the closing date for this role being Wednesday 15th October 2025.
The location for this role will be between the Club’s iconic headquarters in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool, with the opportunity to work flexibly with our Hybrid working approach.
