Role responsibilities
The Delivery Manager (Bus Fleet and Depot) will have responsibility for the delivery of the projects and initiatives that will support the delivery of the Welsh Government Bus Franchising. Regionally agnostic, potential for focus on delivery in any of the franchise zones.
- Deliver bus fleet and depot projects, through the application of robust project lifecycle methodologies – including implementation of project plans, attainment of key milestones and resource management, to ensure these are completed safely to time, cost and quality.
- Undertake delivery activities, using available tools to complete data analysis and contribute to strategy and business case development.
- Advance development and implementation of TfW’s Depot Location and Decarbonisation strategies through use of TfW depot modelling and route assessment tools to ensure optimal bus depot locations and specifications, reflective of fleet needs.
- Manage and be responsible for bus fleet and depot projects (and others where allocated) budgets by liaising with the appropriate Finance Business Partner escalating any variances where required to ensure costs remain within the agreed budget.
Who we’re looking for
- Demonstrable previous experience of managing transport projects for the public sector.
- Possess, or working towards, a project management qualification, e.g. APM, PRINCE or similar.
- Previous experience of managing projects and administering project management documentation such as project action trackers, programmes, project reporting, budget control, risk and issue processes.
- Previous experience of the successful delivery of project lifecycles.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
