Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation (DASA)

 

The GLA, as the tier-one authority in London, has duties under Part 4 of the 2021 Act to support victims/survivors of domestic abuse and their children in relevant safe accommodation. The duty comes with revenue funding from MHCLG of circa £20m a year to ensure the effective delivery and performance of MOPAC contract and grant agreements with Pan-London providers delivering Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation to survivors.

 

About the role

 

The Contracts and Grants Performance Administrator (DA Duty) is responsible for supporting the DASA Contract Performance Team in the successful delivery of the Domestic Abuse Safer Accommodation (DASA) duty. The consistent delivery of MOPAC grants and contracts underpins  the priorities set within the Police and Crime Plan and the Mayor’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy 2025-2029.

 

This role will support the team in the co-ordination of a Pan -London portfolio of DASA Provider services. Supporting the requests and collation of performance monitoring information, providing administrative support for team meetings, and organising and maintaining information to ensure the effective delivery of contract and grant agreements.

 

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated. You will have excellent written communication skills, and the ability to operate in a busy environment.

What your day will look like

 

·        Manage and respond to queries coming into central email inboxes

·        Supporting the co-ordination of team meetings, minute taking and follow up action

·        Contributing to improved stakeholder relationships 

·       Ensuring MOPAC contracts and grants data and information is organised

 

To be considered for the role you must meet the following essential criteria:

 

·        Basic knowledge of contracting and grant-making processes, and an awareness of the challenges faced by domestic abuse survivors.

·        Excellent IT literacy skills, and knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.

·        Experience of maintaining a system, preferably within the context of contract management or administration.

·        A process-driven and methodological approach, with excellent organisation and administration skills.

·        Ability to be flexible and a willingness to pivot priorities, to meet MOPAC’s fast-paced environment.

Political Restriction 

Political Restriction: under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011), all MOPAC staff members will be politically restricted without the right to apply for an exemption. 

 

Security Vetting Clearance 

The successful candidates will be expected to undergo the necessary security checks. Applicants must possess the legal right to work in the UK and have resided in the UK continuously for at least the last three years.

Where are we based? 

We operate a hybrid working model with office hubs at Union Street (near London Bridge) and Newlands Park (postcode SE26). On average, staff will work 1-2 days a week from an Office Hub, which may differ depending on the role requirements.
