THIS VACANCY IS OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
About Us
The PharosAI Training Specialist, part of the King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub training team, will lead the development and delivery of innovative training resources in digital health, AI, data governance, and related fields. Central to the role is designing and maintaining online asynchronous material – including a key new course on governance in AI-driven healthcare – to equip researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry partners with essential skills. This role will make complex regulatory and ethical concepts accessible to advance skills for integrating AI within the NHS, driving innovation in cancer care, and ensuring clinical-grade AI solutions meet rigorous standards.
About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity to play a central role in shaping how the future healthcare workforce engages with artificial intelligence. As the PharosAI Training Specialist you will join the King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (KHP DHH) training team and provide leadership in the design and delivery of innovative, high-quality learning resources. The role is central to PharosAI’s mission of equipping researchers, health and care professionals, and innovators with the knowledge and skills needed to realise the benefits of AI in healthcare.
The primary focus of the role is to design, develop, and launch a new training resource that helps diverse stakeholders – from researchers and AI developers to regulators and industry partners – navigate the complex governance and regulatory requirements around the next generation of AI applications in cancer drug discovery and care. You will be responsible for developing and curating engaging content, working closely with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance, and delivering resources through our chosen Learning Management System. Alongside this, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing training modules across health data science, genomics, AI, co-design, and entrepreneurship within the Digital Health Academy and our Innovation Scholars Programme.
You will lead on creating a new module, Navigating Governance in AI-driven Healthcare, giving learners essential skills in areas such as multi-modal data integration, regulatory compliance, and ethical frameworks for AI. You will also support the development of online training materials covering topics such as GDPR, intellectual property management, data sharing agreements, and professional practice, making these accessible through flexible, asynchronous learning design.
Reporting to the KHP DHH training lead, you will collaborate with academic colleagues and professional services staff to deliver coordinated and sustainable training resources. You will line manage the digital content developer and graduate teaching assistants as needed to support training development and sustainability.
You will also play an active role in monitoring and improving the quality of these resources, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and NHS digital literacy priorities.
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong experience in e-learning design and a passion for using digital technologies to enhance education. With your expertise, you will help shape the learning experiences that prepare the healthcare workforce for an AI-enabled future.
This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/12/26. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of three days per week on site.
