Project Coordinator (Research Culture) (CC13141) – Bath, BA2 7AY
The University of Bath is committed to an ambitious action plan to continually improve our research culture.
As Project Coordinator, you’ll be right at the heart of supporting change – planning, supporting and evaluating key projects within the new Research Culture Action Plan to ensure they deliver on time, to budget, and realise their planned benefits. You’ll also take responsibility for getting some quick, but impactful projects over the line.
You could be coordinating expertise from across the University to inform a new ‘research design’ resource, rolling out our new approach to responsible research assessment, or identifying meaningful data to help us understand progress on research culture.
You’ll have the chance to work with diverse groups of experts & stakeholders across the university and use your creativity to move the dial on the cultural changes that matter most to our community.
You will:
- have experience coordinating, delivering and evaluating projects
- be adept at supporting/managing projects involving multiple stakeholders to successful completion
- be able to inspire/influence others
- have a strategic eye, but like getting get stuck into delivery
- be motivated by the idea of making a positive difference to the culture that our research-related staff and students experience
- be interested in the details, capturing the important nuances that could make a difference in a project’s success
- have an insight into higher education or research-related environments in other sectors.
Further information
The role is full-time (36.5 hours per week) which could be available as a job-share and/or support flexible working (0.8 FTE would be considered for the right candidate). There is a slight preference for one in-person day on Monday/Tuesday to align with the project lead.
This is a fixed-term role until July 2026 to cover the current postholder’s career break.
