Job Title: Cleaning Team Leader (Part-Time)
Salary: Commencing at £25,055 with progression to £25,686 pro rata per annum
About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Make sure cleaning staff can quickly and easily access their work areas for example, by issuing and collecting keys, opening areas, or arranging changes to access cards when needed.
  • Report any faulty equipment straight away, remove it from use, and label it clearly. Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Manage and issue cleaning materials and equipment so staff have what they need, while following good stock control, COSHH regulations, and any internal systems.
  • Work flexibly to support special events such as Open Days or evening activities when required.
  • Be part of the emergency call-out team, responding to issues as needed.
  • Responsible for the security of the colleges’ buildings and equipment between 6am and 8am Monday to Friday.

About You

  • Level 2 Maths and English are essential IOSH Managing Safely and NVQ level 2 certification in cleaning skills (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
  • Previous commercial cleaning experience. 
  • A good work related knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Experience of supervising a team.
  • Experience of working flexibly to meet business demand.
