About the role

What you’ll do

Working closely with the Shop Design Manager, Designers, Project Managers and other stakeholders the role is responsible for:

  • Working closely with the design team, submit and monitor planning applications, including Shopfronts, HVAC, Air Conditioning, Advertising and Pavement Licences
  • Maintain planning tracker and provide updates across the team where required on current status
  • Liaise with external planning consultant to submit and monitor change of use applications
  • Manage the building regulations compliance register to ensure building control certification are received in line with the new shop / refit opening programme.
  • Liaise with Greggs approved building inspectors and local authority building inspectors where required
  • Continually liaise with the internal design team and project managers to update on progress of projects
  • Help support by arranging any supplementary reports and surveys to support planning submissions, which would include Noise, Odour, Acoustic surveys
  • You will oversee multiple projects, track deadline and maintain detailed records/tracker
  • Liaising with local authority planning representatives to help support additional requests for information
  • Manage the workflow of design, planning, building regs orders, ensuring costs are signed off and capital orders raised, orders placed, and any queries dealt with in a timely manner
  • Attend weekly design meetings and provide feedback/raise items where appropriate to ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date
  • Communicate in a professional and timely manner, both within our own team, to our stakeholders both within the business and externally
  • Working to tight and challenging deadlines aligned to the shopfitting process

About you

You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
  • A result focussed approach with excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively internally and externally. and the ability to influence others
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Has a proven track record of working to tight deadlines
  • Enjoy being part of a hard-working team and successful team, sharing end goals and celebrating results together
  • Interested in further development relating to the Planning industry to aide job role development
  • Want to develop and are ready to work alongside some great people and have lots of fun on your Greggs journey.
