Join M&S as a Commercial Manager – Travel Money and play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across our Travel Money business. You’ll lead the development and execution of our omnichannel strategy, using data-driven insights to shape forecasts, budgets, and commercial plans. With a sharp eye for market opportunities and P&L performance, you’ll help us grow market share while optimising our channel proposition.

You’ll work collaboratively across Commercial, Marketing, Operations, and Digital & Tech teams, as well as with external partners, to deliver initiatives that delight our customers and colleagues. What you’ll do

  • Trading: Driving sales and optimising performance across Travel Money, ensuring we deliver commercial growth and market share profitably across all our channels – Stores, Click and Collect, app and Digital.
  • Planning: Forecasting responsibilities to ensure we have a well thought through budget that reflects trading opportunities and seasonality, working with key stakeholders across finance, marketing, loyalty, and partnership teams.
  • Customer: collaborate with insight, marketing, customer service teams to identify any proposition themes and opportunities to ensure a frictionless customer journey across all channels.
  • Performance analysis: reporting against our commercial targets using insight from multiple sources to identify trends, drive actions, and seek improvements to exceed our financial goals and market share participation.
  • Risk and Compliance: working with compliance, marketing, and incident teams to ensure every campaign and customer moment is delivered compliantly and right first-time implementation.

Who you are

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrates a strong understanding of business drivers and financial levers, with the ability to identify and act on opportunities that deliver profitable growth and long-term value.
  • Communication & Influencing: Skilled in engaging stakeholders at all levels, clearly articulating ideas and strategies, and influencing outcomes through compelling storytelling and data-backed recommendations.
  • Insight & Reporting: Uses data and analytics to generate actionable insights, build robust forecasts, and inform strategic decisions. Comfortable working with complex datasets to drive performance.
  • Partnership & Relationship Management: Builds trusted relationships across internal teams and external partners, fostering collaboration and alignment to deliver shared goals and seamless customer experiences.
  • Product, Marketing & Channel Management Experience: Brings hands-on experience in managing product portfolios, marketing campaigns, and channel strategies to optimise reach, relevance, and revenue.
