SALARY: Up to £42,600 pa dependent on experience – prorated up to £34,080
LOCATION: Milton Keynes but the role requires travel to off-site storage locations a minimum of twice a week depending on business need to work with third-party providers.
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes or Bruntingthorpe site however, flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.
HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Part Time Permanent Contract – 28 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Remarketing Service Inspector to take ownership of vehicle quality, stock audits, volume flow, refurbishment spend and administration across our central storage operation.Remarketing manage 50,000–100,000 vehicles each year and oversee around £1bn of assets. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining exceptional standards and ensuring our Remarketing strategy is delivered on the ground.What you’ll be doing:- You will track vehicles moving through each stage and use data to spot delays or issues.
- Identify vehicles that aren’t progressing and redirect them to the best sales option.
- Check supplier performance using measures and follow up when things are off track.
- Carry out regular stock checks across sites to make sure every vehicle is accounted for.
- Review key pre-sale steps (such as cleaning, repairs, tyre checks, photos, MOTs) to ensure they’re done properly.
- You’ll match completed work against invoices and approve payments.
- Review recall vehicles, gather information and support any cost calculations required.
- Create clear, factual reports to support supplier reviews and help improve processes.
Essential experience & skills
- Full UK driving licence – essential for travelling to multiple audit locations.
- You’re highly analytical and able to interpret data, identify trends and produce accurate, insight‑driven reports.
- Confident in stock audit processes, including on‑site checks, variance investigation and precise data recording.
- You’re advanced Excel and reporting skills, mean you can manage, analyse and reconcile audit and invoice data effectively.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage your own workload across both field‑based and office‑based tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, allowing you to clearly present findings and build strong working relationships.
- You are detail focused, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of auditing and documentation.
- Resilient, self‑motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of tasks from start to finish.
- Comfortable working outdoors as some audits will require significant time on site.
- Ability to coach and support colleagues, acting as a trusted advisor and first point of escalation for routine queries.
- A role‑model mindset, consistently upholding high standards of quality, professionalism and behaviour.
- As you will be based on site for some of the time conducting audits, you need to be comfortable working outdoors.
