Admissions Selector (PGT) (CC13030) – Bath, BA2 7AY
As a member of the central Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Admissions Team, you will be responsible for managing the admissions for a portfolio of taught postgraduate courses across multiple faculties.
About the role
Working in collaboration with academic departments, you will assess applications, make admissions decisions and contribute directly to the University’s strategic aim of growing and diversifying our postgraduate population while maintaining our high academic standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- evaluating applications in line with university and course specific entry requirements
- responding to queries and providing guidance to prospective postgraduate students and their representatives
- building positive working relationships with applicants, colleagues and academic staff
You will be part of a dedicated team working to deliver an efficient, inclusive, and applicant-friendly admissions process.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- an effective communicator, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- competent, conscientious and motivated with a methodical approach to work
- able to work in a team, and independently, being proactive and able to use initiative
Experience in higher education administration, preferably with experience of admissions, is desirable but we also welcome applications from those with other administrative backgrounds
Further information
This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 21.9 hours per week.
You are able to work on a hybrid basis but will be expected to be in-person on-campus one day per week, either on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
