We’re seeking a proactive and ambitious
Business Development Manager to join our UK team and play a key role in expanding our presence in the medical indemnity market. 

In this high-impact role, you’ll focus on recruiting new GPs and GP practices, while deepening engagement with key stakeholders. You’ll bring a blend of commercial acumen and a consultative, partnership-first approach to deliver sustainable growth, member retention, and long-term value. 

Role Responsibility

  • Drive acquisition and revenue growth by recruiting GPs, GP practices, and expanding group scheme memberships
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with GPs, practices, and partners to enhance retention and engagement
  • Leverage market insights to identify opportunities and accelerate growth
  • Deliver compelling, tailored proposals that clearly demonstrate value
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and practice meetings to boost brand visibility and drive new business

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven success in business development, sales, or account management—ideally within healthcare, insurance, or professional services 
  • Strong track record of exceeding targets and driving commercial outcomes 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for building trusted relationships
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to meet clients and attend events

Package Description

Alongside a competitive salary, you will also receive:

  • Discretionary on-target bonus of 10%. Up to a max 20% based on performance
