An exciting opportunity has arisen to help improve the quality of Looked After Children’s lives, working as a Contracts Officer in the Children’s Commissioning Team to oversee the quality of children’s placements.

The role involves monitoring the quality of provision for Looked After Children, including undertaking visits to residential, fostering and supported accommodation providers, responding to complaints, developing relationships with providers and ensuring that quality standards are met. You will also have opportunities to increase your skills and support commissioners to plan, develop and commission new services to meet children and young people’s needs.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
 

We are looking for applicants who are motivated and committed to safeguarding children and young people and who can demonstrate the ability to build and maintain good relationships, review and analyse information, compile clear reports and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
