About the role
Providing positive intervention and support for vulnerable adults and those with sensory impairment. By promoting independence and community living. Whilst minimize the risk of hospitalisation or admission to residential care.Â
By assist the Assistive Technology Team with identifying needs, visiting customers, low level installations, monitoring, support to customers and collection of equipment.
The services will provide a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team, with experience from both elements of health and social care, to deliver vital intermediate care for people in Northamptonshire.
The team will provide quality care for our people, specialising in rehabilitation/reablement and sub-acute care for people discharged from acute hospitals.
What will you be doing?
Primarily responsible for installing low level equipment such as lifelines and key safes to our customers in the local community. Â Whilst also monitoring and supporting our customers. With collection of equipment from our customers homes (Booking of appointments to attend and replace batteries in units) to maintaining independent living. Â Monitoring systems to ensure the equipment has no issues.
Providing support and guidance to ensure our customers receive all services and benefits they are entitled to.
Promoting their independence through the provision of information to our customers and through liaison with carers, internal and external agencies to help customers to access and utilise resources in the local community.
37 hours per week, Monday – FridayÂ
About you
Demonstrate awareness / understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
Knowledge and interest in electronic assistive technology with a social care background would be preferable and advantageous as much of the work is supporting social care to meet customer needs with AT. Â

The ability to take extensive and care notes is essential to ensure all communication can be fed back to our care teams.Â
