Consultant – Asset Valuation & Risk Control Engineering – Krakow, Poland
The position combines technical engineering understanding, analytical capability, and data-driven valuation support, while also enabling stronger integration between risk engineering and valuation disciplines across EMEA.
The successful candidate will contribute to valuation deliverables, support data transformation, and enhance consistency, quality, and efficiency of outputs used by clients, insurers, and broking teams.

What the day will look like
- Asset Valuation Delivery
- Support preparation of replacement cost valuations for insurance purposes
- Assist in valuation modelling and benchmarking for assets
- Capture, analyse, and interpret market and construction cost data
- Translate engineering and survey data into structured valuation outputs
- Contribute to production of valuation reports, analytics, and client deliverables
2. Integration of Risk Engineering & Valuation
- Act as a link between Risk Engineering and Asset Valuation teams across regions
- Align engineering insights (construction, protection, resilience) with valuation assumptions
- Identify valuation opportunities arising from risk engineering surveys and client engagements
- Support improved consistency and outcomes across both disciplines
3. Data, Tools & Methodology
- Maintain and develop cost databases, inflation indices, and benchmarking tools
- Support development and use of standard methodologies, templates, and data structures
- Leverage digital tools, analytics, and AI to improve efficiency and reporting
- Promote reuse of data and reduction of redundancy across teams
4. Analytical & Technical Support
- Provide technical support to engineers and valuation teams
- Assist in preparation of technical papers and construction cost insights
5. Process, Quality & Delivery
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with agreed standards
- Support quality assurance through technical review and plausibility checks
- Improve reporting standards, structure, and overall presentation quality
- Deliver outputs efficiently and within agreed timelines
6. Knowledge Sharing & Development
- Facilitate collaboration between valuation and risk engineering communities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and technical capability
- Maintain commitment to continuous professional development
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Degree in Engineering, Cost Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in:
- Asset valuation and/or construction cost estimating
- Risk engineering or technical insurance consulting
- Industrial sectors (manufacturing, power, oil & gas, petrochemical)
- Strong Excel and MS Office capability; familiarity with data tools advantageous
- Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and consistency
- Fluent English required
- Additional languages (e.g. German) beneficial for regional support
