Content Producer – Pontypridd, Wales
Salary: £31,500
The Role
To develop, create and publish a range of engaging content that can be used to support Transport for Wales’ (TfW) media releases and social media channels.
Role responsibilities
- Produce a range of media content through photo, film, animation, design and social-first mobile content to support media releases and social media platforms that engages with a range of TfW audiences.
- Develop a content plan that will support the TfW Communication Plan that focuses on innovative ways to promote the TfW narrative.
- Film and edit the key transformational programmes that TfW are undertaking including transformational work across the Wales and Borders network and on key projects such as the South Wales Metro, Network North Wales and Bus Franchising, to allow TfW to digitally tell a story to our key audiences.
- Develop a library of content that adheres to brand guidelines by working closely with the Content Lead. Ensure all content is diverse and managed on TfW’s media hub for use by the media and our partners.
- Produce reactive content in a short timeframe using photo, film, animations, or social-first mobile content that can then be used reactively across all platforms in a changing and challenging media landscape.
- Own and manage the production of TfW content and work with agencies and partners to ensure all content follows a similar style and format to ensure brand guidelines are met/
- Meet and organise meetings/interviews with relevant staff and stakeholders by working with different departments across the businesses and identifying opportunities which will support the TfW narrative on external platforms.
Who we’re looking for
- Demonstrable experience in high level digital production using professional camera and audio-visual equipment, with a broad skill base including photography, video edits, animation, basic design skills and social-first mobile content creation.
- Experience in using professional editing software for film and photography (such as Premiere Pro and Lightroom).
- Experience of producing engaging and externally facing content that can be used across multiple platforms.
- Experience of developing content to support various narratives through providing a clear breakdown of the process from script and storyboard to final edit.
- Effective project management skills and ability to work with a range of different people/organisations.
- An understanding of filming in a health and safety critical environment, including the relevant regulations.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
