Customer Service Advisor – Nottingham
Enva is a leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions, helping businesses and communities across the UK manage their waste responsibly.
We’re looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our busy team in Colwick, Nottingham. You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, handling enquiries over the phone and by email, resolving issues, and ensuring every customer has a positive experience with Enva.
This role is varied – you’ll liaise with suppliers and our transport teams, support customers using our online portal MyEnva, and take ownership of queries from start to finish. It’s a great opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and CRM in a professional and timely manner.
- Resolve service issues by identifying problems, providing solutions, and following up with customers.
- Make proactive calls to suppliers and customers to support service delivery.
- Promote the use of MyEnva and provide training where needed.
- Accurately record all calls, complaints, and enquiries in Dynamics 365 (CRM).
- Liaise with internal teams (transport, sales, accounts) to ensure customer needs are met.
- Handle hazardous waste enquiries, including liaising with suppliers and preparing quotes.
- Support other departments and cover colleagues where required.
- Maintain a positive health and safety culture, reporting hazards, near misses, or incidents.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We’re looking for someone who is customer-focused, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential:
- Proven experience in a customer service role.
- Strong phone handling and active listening skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- IT literate, with good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work well under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Positive, approachable, and team-oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable.
Desirable:
- Experience using CRM, order processing, or finance systems.
- Product or market knowledge within waste management or related industries.
