Main duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement secure architecture patterns and IAM strategies.
- Lead on Secure by Design principles across all cyber security and IAM technologies.
- Provide technical leadership in IAM and PAM, including RBAC, identity lifecycle, and privileged access security.
- Collaborate with architecture, information security, and business teams to integrate IAM and PAM solutions across all initiatives.
- Translate complex security risks into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and lead research into emerging technologies.
- Manage and mentor Senior IAM Analysts, fostering a high-performing team.
- Develop a roadmap for IAM and cyber security services aligned with university strategy.
Role Examples:
- Designing secure cloud infrastructure for new digital services.
- Leading IAM integration for university-wide transformation projects.
- Advising on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
- Driving innovation in authentication and access control technologies.
Team Structure:
You will report to the Associate Director of Information Security within the Digital and Technology Directorate and lead a team of Senior IAM Analysts. You’ll work closely with enterprise architects, cyber security specialists, and stakeholders across faculties and directorates.
Ideal CandidateEssential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in cyber security architecture and IAM strategy.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in higher education or large-scale public sector environments.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or similar.
- Knowledge of modern identity platforms and federated identity protocols.
