What we’re looking for:
A reliable and dedicated Driver Porter to join our dynamic team. As a Driver Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services by facilitating the efficient transportation of culinary delights and equipment to various event locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our discerning clientele.
What you’ll do:
1. Safe Transportation: Safely and responsibly operate company vehicles to transport food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to event venues, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to traffic regulations.
2. Loading and Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of catering materials, including food trays, beverage dispensers, serving utensils, and decor items, while maintaining their integrity and presentation.
3. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring that all items are accounted for before and after each event, and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including monitoring fuel levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness.
5. Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional customer service when interacting with clients, venue staff, and other stakeholders, representing the company positively and courteously.
6. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address any logistical challenges or issues that may arise during transportation or at event sites, seeking solutions in collaboration with team members and supervisors.
7. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow established health and safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of yourself, your colleagues, and our clients, particularly regarding food handling and vehicle operation.
Qualifications:
· Full valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Previous experience in driving commercial vehicles preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy objects
